3 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts (wrist) is not in the starting lineup on Saturday as he deals with wrist soreness, according to Ian Browne of MLB.com. Bogaerts was experiencing left wrist soreness following Friday's game after he tweaked something in his final at-bat. Manager Alex Cora said that he had been planning on giving Bogaerts a day off anyway within the next few games, but decided to hold him out of the lineup Saturday while dealing with the wrist issue. Consider Bogaerts day-to-day for now, as Kike Hernandez will get the start at shortstop and bat leadoff against the Yankees on Saturday.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
