6 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts was 2-for-4 with an RBI single in Monday's 6-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles. He was feeling no ill-effects after leaving Sunday's game with a sore shoulder. Bogaerts has enjoyed a fantastic season that has seen him set career-highs in several different categories. The 25-year-old is slashing .286/.357/.509 with 21 homers, 96 RBI, eight stolen bases, and 68 runs scored. He has been a vital part of the Red Sox offense for the entire season and will earn a hefty contract this summer as he tests free agency for the first time.
