2 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts went a combined 1-for-5 with a double and two strikeouts in Saturday's doubleheader against the Baltimore Orioles. Bogaerts started Game 1 and hit out of the cleanup spot. He smacked a double and struck out twice. The 29-year-old shortstop didn't start Game 2 and went 0-for-1 in a pinch-hit appearance. Overall, Bogaerts is slashing a rock-solid .320/.390/.465 with five home runs, 20 RBI, and two stolen bases. He should start to drive in a few more runs now that he's batting cleanup.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
