Xander Bogaerts Has Back Spasms Tuesday, Won't Play Wednesday
2 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts (back) exited Tuesday's 8-4 loss to the Rays with back spasms, per MLB.com's Ian Browne. Bogaerts went 0-for-3 with a strikeout before being replaced by Rob Refsnyder. It sounds like Bogaerts is day-to-day, as it was reported that he will not be in the lineup on Wednesday. His numbers haven't been bad with a .315/.382/.466 slash line, 12 home runs, 63 RBI and eight steals, but they also haven't been exactly what fantasy managers had hoped for in terms of counting stats. There is still time for Bogaerts to contribute, but fantasy managers should keep an eye out for when he will be back in the Red Sox's lineup.
