Xander Bogaerts Hits Go-Ahead Homer
6 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts hit a solo home run to put the Red Sox up 7-6 in the seventh inning against the Rangers Thursday. He was 2-for-3 in the game with a walk out of the fifth spot in the order. Bogaerts is mashing this year to a .295/.379/.531 triple slash with 14 home runs and two stolen bases. Those stats put him firmly in the conversation of a top shortstop in the first year of his new contract. The only thing lacking in his profile are stolen bases but fantasy owners can't complain with the pace he's at right now.
