4 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts (knee) is not expected to play in Saturday's game against the Blue Jays. This news comes after he was scratched from Friday's lineup with left knee soreness. According to Red Sox manager Alex Cora, the shortstop could return on Sunday. "Bogaerts will likely be out a couple of days and Sunday is the hope for his return," he said. Fantasy managers can expect to be without the infielder for Saturday's game and should adjust their lineups accordingly. Marwin Gonzalez handled shortstop duties during Friday's game against Toronto and went 0-for-3 with a walk and an RBI while filling in Bogaerts. --Brad Camara - RotoBaller
