6 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts is back in the starting lineup on Tuesday after missing Sunday's game with a jammed left pinky. He will bat fifth against the Philadelphia Phillies and their starter Nick Pivetta whom Bogaerts is 0-for-3 against in his career. Bogaerts has had a solid season at the dish with a .275 average, 17 home runs, 72 RBI, and 56 runs scored. He is one of the absolute best players in the league when batting with runners in scoring position and on a potent Red Sox team he sees opportunities to drive runs in quite often.
