7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina was suspended by Major League Baseball for one game due to his actions during Sunday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Molina has already appealed the suspension and will be able to play while the appeal is in progress. Molina reacted to something Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said while arguing with the home plate umpire, leading to a bench-clearing brawl. Molina was not ejected at the time, but he made contact with the home plate umpire and seems unlikely to have his suspension overturned.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
