2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina (knee) will be placed on the 10-day injured list Friday due to persistent knee soreness. Top catching prospect Iván Herrera is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move. The 39-year-old attempts to recover from knee soreness that has ailed him most of the 2022 season. He will miss at least the next 10 days and doesn't have a timetable for a return. Molina hasn't been productive for fantasy managers this season, slashing .213/.225/.294 across 138 plate appearances in 2022. Herrera and Andrew Knizner should see an uptick in playing time while Molina is sidelined.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
