2 years agoThe Houston Astros are calling up catching prospect Yainer Diaz, according to reports. Diaz is the team's No. 3 overall prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. The 23-year-old can also play some first base, giving Houston some flexibility when it comes to getting his name in the lineup. Diaz has excellent power and could hit for a high average in the big leagues. The backstop is batting .294 with 16 homers in 48 games in Triple-A in 2022.
