Yandy Diaz Exits With Knee Soreness
2 years agoTampa Bay Rays third baseman Yandy Diaz (knee) exited Thursday's game against Kansas City with left knee soreness. He was removed from Thursday's game after sustaining the injury while rounding third base. The 31-year-old went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and an additional run scored before exiting. The severity of Diaz's injury is unknown, and he is considered day-to-day. He is slashing .276/.384/.400 with seven homers, 44 RBI, 53 runs, and a stolen base in 105 games in 2022. Yu Chang replaced Diaz in Thursday's contest. Chang and Isaac Paredes would see an uptick in playing time if Diaz were to miss any games. Stay tuned.
