2 years agoTampa Bay Rays third baseman Yandy Diaz isn't in the team's lineup on Monday for a matchup with the Boston Red Sox and right-handed starter Michael Wacha. Diaz is enjoying a quality season at the plate, hitting .290 with a .396 on-base percentage, eight home runs, and a pair of stolen bases in 497 plate appearances. Instead, it'll be Isaac Paredes starting at third base and hitting fifth against Wacha and the Red Sox. Paredes is batting .221 with a .305 on-base percentage and 18 home runs in 298 plate appearances this season.
