Yandy Diaz Out With Shoulder Injury
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays corner infielder Yandy Diaz (shoulder) is not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles. Diaz left the game early on Saturday with a strained left shoulder, but it's unknown at this time if the injury is serious enough to land him on the injured list. The 30-year-old will likely undergo tests during the team's off day on Monday. Ji-Man Choi will start at first base and bat third on Sunday, while Harold Ramirez is the designated hitter and is batting cleanup against Orioles right-hander Spenser Watkins. Diaz is off to a solid start this year, hitting .282 with three home runs, 10 RBI and 18 runs scored in 34 games. Ramirez is an intriguing DFS case on Sunday. He doesn't have any homers on the year, but he's slashing .299/.347/.345 in 30 games played.
