6 years agoToronto Blue Jays infielder Yangervis Solarte has gotten off to a red-hot start up north, picking up multi-hit games in three of his last five and four of his last seven. In the first game of a doubleheader against the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday, he finished 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI. The long ball was his third of the season. On the year, he’s slashing a stellar .280/.393/.520 with the aforementioned three jacks, three doubles, eight RBI, eight runs scored and a 10/7 BB/K ratio. We’ve seen Solarte go on streaks like this before only to cool off tremendously, but he can definitely be a fantasy asset if he can keep even a semblance of this up for awhile.--John Smith
