Yankees Acquire Tyler Wade From Angels
2 years agoThe New York Yankees acquired utilityman Tyler Wade from the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday, according to a source familiar with the deal. Wade was designated for assignment by the Angels earlier this month, and now he'll head back to the team that drafted him and where he spent his first five seasons. The 27-year-old will head to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. In 67 games for the Halos in 2022, Wade hit .218/.272/.272 with one homer, eight RBI, 22 runs scored and eight stolen bases. The former fourth-round pick will provide infield depth for the Yankees moving forward.
