4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Clarke Schmidt (elbow) was placed on the 60-day IL with an elbow strain. Schmidt has been dealing with a tennis elbow-esque injury since late February, and his placement on the 60-day IL is reportedly just a reflection of his missing spring training. A possible midseason addition to the team's rotation, Schmidt made his major league debut last season and should be on the radar of fantasy managers as a potential waiver wire addition later this year.--Sam Chinitz
