Yankees Place DJ LeMahieu On 10-day IL
4 years agoNew York Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu (thumb) was placed on the 10-day IL on Sunday. LeMahieu sprained his left thumb during Saturday’s game against the Red Sox, and he’ll now miss at least the next 10 days recovering. Although his exact timeline is unclear, LeMahieu missed two and a half weeks with a sprained thumb during his time with the Rockies, so fantasy players should expect the 32-year-old to remain sidelined for more than the minimum 10 games. Tyler Wade is the most obvious option to start at second base in LeMahieu’s absence, but the Yankees could get creative after bringing Miguel Andujar up from their alternate site.
