Yankees Plan To Discuss Extension With Aaron Judge
3 years agoNew York Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner said that the team plans to engage with outfielder Aaron Judge and his representatives on a long-term contract extension before Opening Day. "We've been talking about it. Yes, it's going to happen soon," Steinbrenner said. Judge recently hinted that his tenure with the team might be over if he isn't given an extension before the 2022 season. Health has been an issue for the 29-year-old slugger, but offers elite power production for fantasy managers when he's on the field. The Yankees have discussed using Judge in center field in 2022, although he projects to be the everyday right fielder. Judge is a risk-reward, high-profile power bat in fantasy. He has 158 career home runs and 366 RBI in his first six big-league seasons, all with the Yankees.
