Yankees Unlikely To Continue Pursuing Andrew Benintendi
2 years agoThe New York Yankees are unlikely to continue their pursuit of Kansas City Royals outfielder Andrew Benintendi since he is unvaccinated. The Yankees have six games left in Toronto against the Blue Jays and could also meet them in the playoffs. New York is the one team to send their complete roster to play in Toronto since they are all vaccinated. Benintendi will be unavailable for the Royals four-game series in Canada, starting Thursday, because he's unvaccinated against COVID-19, so fantasy managers won't have him until the start of the second half of the season. The 28-year-old will be popular at the trade deadline this summer after hitting .317/.386/.401 with three home runs, 37 RBI, 37 runs scored and two stolen bases in the first half of action.
