3 years agoThe New York Yankees see free-agent first baseman Anthony Rizzo as a realistic first base option now, and they will try to bring him back. The Yankees expectation all along has been that the sweepstakes for free-agent first baseman Freddie Freeman is between the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers. It's not what Luke Voit wants to hear, but it sounds as though there's a pretty good chance that Rizzo will return to the Bronx, which is good news for his fantasy value. The 32-year-old left slugger hit .249/.340/.428 with eight home runs and 21 RBI in 49 games for the Yankees after being acquired from the Chicago Cubs at the trade deadline. In total, Rizzo had 22 long balls and 61 RBI in 576 plate appearances.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
