6 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers have activated outfielder Yasielf Puig from the 10-day disabled list and optioned Alex Verdugo back to Triple-A. Puig was on the DL for a few weeks with a mild oblique strain but now returns to a Dodgers lineup that has since added Manny Machado. Puig should slide back into the bottom of the order and hopefully get going in the second half as the Dodgers try to seal up the NL West. Verdugo was very solid in his short-lived time in the bigs. With four starts and five appearances in the past week, Verdugo managed to score four runs, drive in two and hit one home run. His on-base percentage was an excellent .421 and he looked like he belonged in the outfield. If anyone in the outfield gets hurt in the near future, expect Verdugo to be the first call-up.--Kev Mahserejian - RotoBaller
