Yasiel Puig Hits 12th Homer On Saturday
5 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Yasiel Puig went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 4-3 loss to the Texas Rangers on Saturday. Puig went deep off of Texas starter Mike Minor in the fourth inning, giving him 12 homers on the season. The veteran outfielder is starting to heat up at the plate, hitting .321 over his past seven games. Overall, Puig has a .223 average, the 12 homers, 25 runs, 35 RBI, and nine steals on the year. A quality power/speed option in fantasy, Puig has just a .248 BABIP and should see his batting average rise as the season goes on.
