7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig will sit out the final game against the Padres on Wednesday. Matt Kemp, batting fifth, will take Puig's position in right field while Joc Pederson plays in left field and bats sixth. Puig, like most of the Dodgers, hasn't kicked it into gear yet. After trending upward last year, he's gone 13-for-63 to start the season. He's sporting a .250 BABIP, which indicates some bad luck. A few positive signs for Puig include his decreased strikeout rate and the fact that he's pulling the ball less and sending it up the middle more. He's also stolen two bases already.
