Yasiel Puig Takes Kershaw Deep
6 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Yasiel Puig was not kind to his former Los Angeles Dodgers teammate in a 4-3 loss on Monday. Puig took ace left-hander Clayton Kershaw deep for a two-run homer in the first inning. Overall, Puig is hitting .191 with a .607 OPS, two homers, two runs, eight RBI, and a steal in his first season with the Reds after spending the first six seasons of his career with the Dodgers. Puig's numbers in the early going aren't great but he has been showing signs of life of late, with both of his homers coming in the past week. Stay patient with the multi-talented outfielder as he has the potential to have a big year playing his home games in hitter-friendly Great American Ballpark.
