Yasmani Grandal Dealing With Right Knee Inflammation
4 years agoChicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal (knee) will miss the first two games for the club this spring with right knee inflammation. Manager Tony La Russa said that Grandal twisted his knee running during drills. This doesn't seem to be overly concerning for the two-time All-Star and he should have plenty of time to be ready for action when the season starts. Grandal hit .230 with eight home runs and 27 RBI in his first season with the White Sox and should be considered as one of the better options behind the plate for fantasy managers in 2021. With James McCann signing with the New York Mets this offseason, Zack Collins would be the next man up if Grandal were to miss time this season.
