3 years agoChicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal (calf) left Friday's contest prior to the bottom of the fifth inning with left calf tightness. Grandal finished the game 1-for-2 with a RBI. Backup catcher Zack Collins replaced Grandal. For now, Grandal is day-to-day, but more should be known on his status as the evening goes on. If Grandal is forced to miss an extended amount of time, Collins would take over as the starting catcher. Collins is hitting .236 with three home runs and 19 RBI on the season, but he is worth keeping an eye on for now.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
