Yasmani Grandal Placed On Injured List
2 years agoThe Chicago White Sox placed catcher Yasmani Grandal (knee) on the 10-day injured list on Sunday with a left knee strain and selected the contract of catcher Carlos Perez from Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. The team also moved right-hander Kyle Crick to the 60-day injured list. Grandal was injured sliding into home plate on Saturday and will now miss at least the next 10 days. The 33-year-old left-handed hitter has done very little for fantasy managers in 2022, hitting .203/.307/.259 with three homers, 21 RBI and nine stolen bases in 251 at-bats. Seby Zavala should take over the primary catching duties for the White Sox with Grandal sidelined. Zavala has been much better offensively, hitting .279/.326/.395 with two long balls, 18 RBI and 15 runs in 129 at-bats.
