Yasmani Grandal Will Rest On Wednesday
4 years agoChicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal will be on the bench for Wednesday's contest against the Cleveland Indians. Grandal is hitless in his last 11 at-bats and is hitting a weak .154 with one home run and six RBI to open the season. Grandal is sporting a .167 BABIP early on, which isn't encouraging, but the veteran has been a steady and consistent behind the plate throughout his career and managers shouldn't panic this early into the season. The switch-hitter should be back in the lineup on Thursday and the hope is that a day off will get him going. Zack Collins will replace Grandal on Wednesday and bat sixth. Collins is 4-for-20 on the season, but does have one home run and five RBI. In a tough battle against Zach Plesac, it's best to avoid Collins in DFS on Wednesday night.
