Yasmani Grandal Won't Be Available On Sunday
3 years agoChicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal (hamstring) won't be available for Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers. He left Saturday's contest after injuring his left hamstring while running to first base. The 33-year-old went 2-for-2 before leaving. He will undergo further evaluation and is considered day-to-day. Grandal has struggled this season, slashing .1985/.294/.237 with two home runs and 15 RBI over 50 games. Reese McGuire replaced Grandal in Saturday's game. The 27-year-old would see an uptick in playing if Grandal were forced to miss any games. McGuire isn't on the fantasy radar after slashing .227/.260/.278 across 34 games in 2022.
