4 years agoChicago White Sox designated hitter Yermin Mercedes went 1-for-4 with a solo home run versus the Boston Red Sox in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader. Mercedes has been one of the biggest surprises of the season so far and hasn't slowed down since his historic 8-for-8 start to the season. Mercedes has always hit in the minor leagues and is now hitting .415 with four home runs and 12 RBI. He will eventually regress and come back down to earth, but the talent is there and managers should continue to the enjoy the ride with the top waiver wire pickup of the early season.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
