2 years agoSan Francisco Giants catcher/infielder Yermin Mercedes has been optioned to Triple-A Sacramento. Infielder Thairo Estrada was reinstated from the 7-day concussion injured list so Mercedes was sent down to make room. The 29-year-old Mercedes put together a .243/.338/.357 batting line to go along with one home run and eight RBI across 70 at-bats with the Giants.
