4 years agoChicago White Sox designated hitter Yermin Mercedes has been left off of Thursday's lineup card versus the Minnesota Twins. Mercedes has been the waiver wire pickup of the season and it's just a routine day off. Mercedes hasn't slowed down since starting the season 8-for-8 and is hitting .376 with five home runs and 21 RBI. First baseman Jose Abreu will DH on Thursday and infielder Jake Lamb will bat second and play first base. Lamb is just 3-for-21 on the season and should be avoided against Michael Pineda Thursday afternoon.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
