Yermin Mercedes Plates Four Tuesday

2 years agoSan Francisco Giants utility man Yermin Mercedes had a nice game at the plate in Tuesday's 13-0 win over the Diamondbacks. Mercedes went 3-for-4 with a single, a double, a two-run home run, four RBI, and a walk. The 29-year-old has had just 31 plate appearances with the Giants so far this season but has slashed an impressive .296/.387/.519 while seeing time at catcher, designated hitter, first base, and the outfield. It remains to be seen what Mercedes' role will be with the Giants and if he will earn enough playing time to garner fantasy attention, but his exciting stint with the White Sox last season makes him worth an add to fantasy managers' watch lists for now.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
