4 years agoChicago White Sox designated hitter Yermin Mercedes went 2-for-5 with a double, triple and three RBI in Sunday's victory versus the Kansas City Royals. The triple was Mercedes first of his big league career and helped jump start the White Sox offense for the day. Mercedes has been off to a great start in his debut campaign and remains a big part of the White Sox offense. Mercedes is now hitting .373 with a 1.005 OPS, five homeruns and 20 RBI. Managers should have no reason to not start Mercedes and he will look to continue his strong season when the White Sox host the Twins for a three game set that starts on Tuesday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
