Yoan Lopez Traded To Braves On Saturday
4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher Yoan Lopez was traded to the Atlanta Braves on Saturday after being designated for assignment earlier this week, according to Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic. In return, Arizona received outfield prospect Deivi Estrada from Atlanta. Lopez had struggled in Arizona this year, posting a 6.57 ERA with 13 strikeouts in 12 1/3 innings of work. Estrada is a 20-year-old outfielder who has two years of experience in the Dominican Summer League, where he slashed .265/.390/.328 with one home run and 15 steals in 110 career games. If Lopez can lower his ERA with Atlanta, he could be worth taking a look at in SV/HLD formats. Otherwise, managers can ignore both Lopez and Estrada for now.
