4 years agoChicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada was not among the team’s starting nine for Sunday’s series finale against Kansas City with Danny Mendick taking over at the hot corner. Moncada has gone through a recent cold patch where he has delivered just a .269 SLG over his last seven games. Most concerning has been the precipitous drop-off in the exit velocity department, with Moncada averaging 6.3 MPH fewer on average than last year. Owners banking on the youngster returning to his 2019 form may be waiting for longer than the next month, but he should still remain an above average power source down the stretch.--Jesse Borek
