3 years agoChicago White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said that third baseman Yoan Moncada (oblique) will be out for three weeks with a Grade 1 oblique strain. Moncada wanted to play through the injury, but he feels it whenever he laughs or sneezes and also when he swings. The White Sox placed him on the 10-day injured list, as well as right-handers Ryan Burr (shoulder), Joe Kelly (biceps) and Lance Lynn (knee), lefty Garrett Crochet (elbow) and outfielder Yermin Mercedes (hand). With Moncada out to begin the regular season, Jake Burger will get the first start at the hot corner on Opening Day on Friday against the Detroit Tigers and left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
