3 years agoChicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada (illness) will miss his second straight game with a cold and congestion on Tuesday versus the Tampa Bay Rays. Manager Tony La Russa said on Monday that the club hopes that Moncada won't be out long and that they hope to have him back soon. With Moncada sidelined, infielder/outfielder Leury Garcia will play third base and bat seventh versus Shane McClanahan. Garcia doesn't offer much upside as a long term play, but he has hit .300 over the past two weeks with seven RBI and should see regular at-bats with second baseman Nick Madrigal (hamstring) undergoing season-ending surgery on Tuesday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
