Yoenis Cespedes Hopes To Run In Next Few Days
6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes continues to rehab his hip and quadriceps injuries and hopes to progress to running drills within the next few days, according to Mets manager Mickey Callaway. Cespedes initially hit the disabled list in the middle of May with a hip injury, but right when he was about to return in June, he of course experienced tightness in his right quad. Cespedes has certainly been no stranger to hip and quad ailments throughout his career, so this is nothing new. Assuming he continues to progress as expected, we’re likely looking at a return in early to mid July.
