5 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes, still recovering from heel surgeries and a broken left ankle, has yet to run all-out sprints this spring training. Due to a number of injuries, Cespedes has not played in a game since July 2018 and has played in only 119 games since the beginning of 2017. Heading into 2020, Cespedes is now 34, a significant injury risk and facing competition for playing time from Michael Conforto, Brandon Nimmo, J.D. Davis, Jake Marisnick and Dominic Smith. As such, even if he somehow remains healthy, a potential lack of consistent playing time for Cespedes could limit his ceiling. A lot will depend on what he shows us this spring. If he's fully healthy and performing up to his abilities, he's surely worth a selection in deep mixed leagues and in all NL-only formats.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
