6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes has been feeling under the weather as of late and will be sitting out Monday’s series opener against the Washington Nationals. As seems to be a common trend with the Mets, he was urged to sit out a few days ago to rest up, but refused. Juan Lagares will replace Yo Monday and hit sixth while patrolling center field. As usual, Lagares won’t be much of a fantasy option and should be avoided in all formats. There’s no reason to expect Cespedes to miss any further time after Monday. It seems like he could use the rest with a .190 batting average through 64 plate appearances, though he does have three long balls.--John Smith
