6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (heel) is scheduled to undergo surgery on Thursday to remove bone calcification in his right heel. The surgery will be performed by Dr. Robert Anderson. This surgery is expected to keep him out for the rest of the season and could potential cut into 2019 as well. Cespedes is one of the better offensive outfielders when healthy, however, he has been plagued by injuries in 2018 and one has to wonder if he'll ever be able to return to form.--Dan Fappiano
