Yoenis Cespedes Starts Running At Mets Complex
6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (hip, quadriceps) started running on Monday at the team’s spring training complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida. According to Mets manager Mickey Callaway on Tuesday, Cespedes’ running went “really well.” Cespedes has been recovering from the same ailments that always seem to plague him -- hip and quad injuries. However, apparently there is no longer any soreness in either muscle, so he should begin baseball activities soon. If there aren’t any further setbacks in a rehab process that has been full of them, Cespedes could be back in the big leagues by the end of the month.
