7 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Yohander Mendez has been recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday. Nick Gardewine has been sent down to make room for Mendez on the active roster. Mendez is the Rangers' No. 7 prospect, according to MLB.com, but has a 6.66 ERA in five starts at Triple-A in 2018. He is expected to pitch out of the Rangers bullpen and can be left on the waiver wire.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
