Yonathan Daza Plates Two In Thursday's Win
3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Yonathan Daza went 1-for-4 with a two-run double, a walk, and a run scored in a 9-3 win over the Diamondbacks on Thursday. Daza reached base twice with a walk and a two-run double off of Riley Smith in the seventh inning. The 27-year-old has struggled over his last 15 games, slashing just .189/.259/.321. He does have nine RBI over that span though, and now has 28 RBI to go along with two home runs and two stolen bases on the season. He's got a .299 batting average and .734 OPS across 234 at-bats. Despite his recent slump, he's been a pleasant surprise at the dish considering he's always been a glove-first prospect.
