4 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Yonny Chirinos (elbow) has undergone Tommy John surgery and his season is now over. The typical recovery time for Tommy John surgery is 12-15 months and it will be a while before the 26-year-old returns to live action as manager Kevin Cash expects him to miss all of the 2021 season. Chirinos has been a reliable arm for the Rays and owns a career 3.65 ERA in 47 games (28 starts).
