Yordan Alvarez Intends To Return Friday
2 years agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (hand) said he's 100 percent and expects to return to the starting lineup for the start of a series on Friday against the Los Angeles Angels. Alvarez has missed the last three games with a sore left hand, but it looks like he'll be good to go for fantasy managers this weekend after an off day on Thursday. The 25-year-old has slowed down a bit in August, hitting .234 (18-for-77) with just one homer, 10 RBI, 11 runs scored and 22 strikeouts in 23 games played. However, he's still deserving of must-start status in fantasy leagues, as he's hitting a strong .294/.398/.597 on the season with a .995 OPS, 31 long balls, 80 RBI, 78 runs scored and a stolen base in his 377 at-bats.
