5 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez will get the night off Saturday against the Royals. With teammate Michael Brantley struggling it looks like the team is trying to keep Brantley in the lineup but keep his legs fresh by playing DH. After a slight lull at the plate, Alvarez has come back with a vengeance, hitting .407 over his last seven games with eight runs batted in. The rookie continues to dazzle at the plate and for the season is slashing .316/.415/.662 with 23 doubles, 24 home runs, 51 runs scored and 72 runs batted in through only 75 games played.--Joey C - RotoBaller
