3 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (wrist) will not be in the starting lineup against the Red Sox. The 23-year-old has been dealing with a right wrist issue since Wednesday, and although he has been available to pinch-hit, Dusty Baker will likely continue to play it safe by keeping him out. The injury doesn't appear severe enough for Alvarez to land on the 10-day. However, that is still a realistic possibility if his condition doesn't improve. In the meantime, Taylor Jones will likely fill in on Monday, although he isn't worth much from a fantasy perspective.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
