Yordan Alvarez Out Against Yankees
2 years agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez is not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the New York Yankees. It's just a regular day off for Alvarez, but fantasy managers need to make sure to remove him from their daily lineups. The 24-year-old left-handed slugger continues to mash the baseball this year. He's hitting .312/.401/.649 with a league-high 1.051 OPS, a league-high 197 OPS+, 22 home runs, 54 RBI and 47 runs scored in 64 games. Alvarez is a must-start in fantasy, and he's been even better in June with a .411 average, eight home runs and 26 RBI in 20 games. Michael Brantley will serve as the designated hitter and bat second on Sunday, while Mauricio Dubon is in left field and hitting seventh against Yankees left-hander Nestor Cortes.
